Company and registration settings

Project settings show company information, address and the public account-creation policy. Select the environment before editing the company or address; the same project can have different values in development, staging and production. Self-registration is one choice for the whole project.

Before you start — Choose the project and environment and prepare the real company details, address or account-opening decision. Company and address belong to the selected installation; self-registration applies to development, staging and production at once. Public customer registration and back-office administration access are separate account processes.

Edit company information

Edit the company in the environment whose displayed identity needs to change.

  1. Open the settings overview and choose the environment.
  2. Click Edit the company.
  3. Edit Name and Number.
  4. Click Save and read the confirmation.
  5. Close the editor and check the values in the settings overview.

The overview reads the selected environment. Keep that selection when checking whether a change was saved.

Edit the address

Update the complete address and review its displayed lines after saving.

  1. From the same environment, click Edit the address.
  2. Fill in Address line 1 and the optional second line.
  3. Check Postal code, City and any state or region requested.
  4. Click Save.
  5. Close the editor and check the address in the overview.

The company and address editors return to the settings overview. Saving one does not automatically rewrite information in another environment.

Choose public account creation

Choose whether new customers may create their own accounts through the public registration journey.

  1. Open Settings and select the Self-registration tab.
  2. Read the Account creation state, then click Edit registration.
  3. Check or uncheck Allow public account creation.

Note — If the checkbox and Save are unavailable, the editor shows The application environments are being prepared for this setting. Come back once the environments are ready.

  4. Click Save and read Registration updated for all environments.
  5. Close the editor and check the registration state on the Self-registration tab.

The choice applies to development, staging and production. When disabled, the signup link is hidden and the registration page redirects to the login page. Existing account management remains separate. If the editor shows Reload the page and try again., reload it before saving again.

Use a manual customer-opening process

Use this choice when your business needs to review customer information before granting an account.

  1. Disable self-registration; the choice also applies to production.
  2. Complete your customer-information review using your business process.
  3. Open approved customer accounts through the customer-account tools of your own application.
  4. Verify that an approved account can follow its intended sign-in journey.

The approved customer follows the intended application sign-in process after manual account opening.

Note — Administration access creates accounts for the project's back office. It is separate from your application's customer-account process.

If production requires customer review, disable self-registration and verify both the entry link and direct registration address in production. An administration account created through Access is not the customer account in this process. Keep the two account journeys distinct when testing the result.

Check a value that seems unchanged

Check context and the save result before repeating a change that appears missing.

  1. Confirm the selected project and environment.
  2. Read the save confirmation or error before closing the editor.
  3. Reopen the overview in that same environment.
  4. Follow any service-unavailable message before retrying.

The actual saved state or the cause of the apparent difference is identified.

Compare the correct environment before entering the same change again.

Public creation is disabled but customer access is neededFollow the application’s approved customer-opening process. Administration access serves a different account type.
