Project preparation

Project preparation records the business need and the choices needed to start. Open the current step from the Getting started steps on the Dashboard. Complete the available steps in the order shown for your project.

Before you start — Prepare the main user journey, important business rules and useful references. Have the people responsible for the offer, billing identity and domain available for their respective confirmations. The overview determines the next step for the actual project.

Describe the business need

Explain a process and its result so the preparation can distinguish the essential workflow from optional ideas.

  1. In What will your project do?, describe the problem and the result users need.
  2. Complete Who are your users / customers? and Expected visitors / customers.
  3. Explain the main actions in Key modules.
  4. Add useful links in References / inspiration and context in Anything else useful?.
  5. Click Save.

Your presentation is saved and reviewed by our team (Analysis of your project); the project type and infrastructure steps open once that review is complete. If the team does not validate the project, the preparation stops at that step and the project cannot be created. For example, describe how a customer submits a request, who checks it and which result the customer should receive.

A brief for customer approval can state who submits the information, who reviews it, what makes the request acceptable and what the customer receives after approval or refusal. Include a normal case and an exception; these become useful checks during construction.

Confirm the application offer and hosting

Review the application scope and hosting as separate choices; each contributes to the complete project budget.

  1. Open the project-type step and compare Setup, Monthly subscription and the included business areas.
  2. Select the offer and click Validate the project type.
  3. Open the infrastructure step and review the resources, network and displayed monthly cost.
  4. Select the available composition and click Validate the infrastructure.

The selected offer and infrastructure are validated, with their amounts and remaining confirmations understood.

Note — A business area can contain several functions and pages. Read your actual offer before confirming; public pricing does not replace its recap.

Choose the country and hosting location

The principal country describes the project’s main country context; the infrastructure location identifies where it will be hosted.

  1. Open Localization once the modules are validated.
  2. Choose Principal country and click Validate the country.
  3. Choose the available hosting country under Infrastructure location.
  4. Click Save.

The principal country and hosting location serve different purposes; review both choices.

Confirm the proposed business areas

Review proposed areas as groups of related business tasks and check whether the initial scope covers the complete journey.

  1. Open Modules.
  2. Review each Module name and Description.
  3. Save an edited entry, or fill in Add a module and click Add for an additional proposal.
  4. Click Validate the modules when the list is correct.

The confirmed list reflects the areas to prepare, without treating each page as a separate area.

Any addition, edit or deletion resets the validation: click Validate the modules again.

Complete the remaining steps

Domain, identity, payment and terms confirmations complete different requirements; follow the remaining step shown by the overview.

  1. Open the domain step and follow the ownership check in Domain names. Without access to your DNS records, click Configure later: the domain is kept unverified and the next step opens.
  2. Read Terms and conditions, select the acceptance checkbox when you agree, then click Validate.
  3. At the Startup fee step (10% of the installation cost), complete the Billing identity and click Continue, then check the amount and click Pay.
  4. Return to the Dashboard.

The overview reflects the saved decisions and identifies any requirement still needed before setup can proceed.

Important — A saved brief, validated choices and an installed environment are separate states. The overview shows the remaining step; hosting availability is checked in Infrastructure.
