Infrastructure

Infrastructure shows the hosting composition behind the project. Select the environment before inspecting its services, servers, network or costs.

Before you start — Identify the project and environment before inspecting resources. Have the service or capacity question ready. Installation, availability, resource configuration and the application’s published version describe different aspects of the same environment.

Inspect the environment's services

Check installed services and their operating state before treating an unavailable link as an application defect.

  1. Open Infrastructure.
  2. Choose Development, Staging or Production.
  3. Read the installation or operating state.
  4. Read Infrastructure type, Network speed and the cores and RAM of each server group, with the total and the price.

The addresses of the application, back office, documentation and website are listed under Service, not on this page.

A service not yet installed is different from a paused test environment. Follow the displayed state before assuming an empty service list is a fault.

If a test page is unavailable, first check whether its environment is paused or still starting. If it is running, identify the relevant service and server state. A capacity change is a separate decision that should be reviewed with its offered resources and cost; it does not replace an availability check.

Inspect the servers

Identify the server’s role before comparing resources or opening its configuration.

  1. Open the server view within Infrastructure.
  2. Check the environment selector.
  3. Review each server's function, Status, Core and network information.
  4. Identify the server concerned before opening a configuration action.

The composition depends on the installed project plan. Read the actual resources rather than assuming all projects use an identical set of servers.

Request a resource change when available

Compare the offered capacity and price before requesting a change to the selected server.

  1. Click Edit on the server concerned.
  2. Read Current plan and the available resource options.
  3. Compare cores, memory, network and the hourly or monthly price shown.
  4. Select the permitted plan and click Save.
  5. Return to the server view to follow the resulting change.

The applied plan and server state are checked after the request has completed.

Note — Only the available choices can be selected. A saved resource-change request is not proof that the server has already reached its new configuration.

Inspect or change the network

Review the environment’s network requirements independently of an individual server’s resource plan.

  1. Open Network.
  2. Select the environment and read Network speed and Status.
  3. Use Edit the network when the action is available.
  4. Review the offered plan and price before Request change.

The intended network request and its resulting state can be followed from the environment.

Use Environments for test availability and Usage for billing periods.

Check the cost separately from the application

Use the hosting recap to understand infrastructure costs before combining them with the application budget.

  1. Open Infrastructure Billing.
  2. Read the environment recap and total.
  3. Compare these amounts with the application offer and invoices.

The hosting plan and application subscription describe different parts of the project.
