Feedback and issues

Feedback records a bug, idea or question for the selected project. Use it to explain the issue and keep its follow-up together. A targeted page-change request can instead be prepared in Studio.

Before you start — Identify the project, environment and journey concerned. Prepare the reproduction steps, actual result and expected result. Use a focused page request in Studio when the main goal is to change an existing page.

Send a report

Choose a report type and describe the situation so its follow-up has a clear project context.

  1. Open the feedback list and click Report something.
  2. Choose Type: a bug, improvement idea or question.
  3. Select Environment.
  4. Enter Title and explain the issue in What's wrong or what would you like?.
  5. Click Send.

Title and description are required. The report is recorded for that project and environment.

Make a bug reproducible

Describe a sequence someone can repeat, rather than only the impression that a screen is wrong.

  1. Identify the page or task concerned.
  2. List the steps that lead to the issue.
  3. Describe the actual result.
  4. State the expected result and any useful example.

For example, explain which editor was open and where closing it should return you, rather than writing only “the page is broken”.

A useful report explains which editor was opened, what was entered, how it was closed and which page should appear next. That sequence allows the result to be checked. If the issue persists after a correction, identify the version tested and the exact step that still differs.

Follow a submitted report

Read the response together with the status to understand what has changed or still needs information.

  1. Return to the feedback list.
  2. Find the report by its title and creation date.
  3. Read Status and click View.
  4. Consult Details and Conversation.

The detail keeps the original report and the exchange attached to it. A status change should be checked alongside the recorded response.

Add information to the conversation

Add useful context to the existing conversation instead of opening another report for the same exchange.

  1. Open the report detail.
  2. Enter the additional context in Add a message.
  3. Click Send.
  4. Check that the message appears in the conversation.

Do not include passwords or unrelated customer records. Provide the information needed to understand or reproduce the issue.

Verify the correction

Repeat the original journey in the version and environment that contain the reported correction.

  1. Read the reported result or response.
  2. Check which application version contains the correction.
  3. Repeat the original reproduction steps in that environment.
  4. Add a precise follow-up if the expected result is still missing.

The correction is verified or a precise remaining difference is added to the follow-up.

Tip — Use Studio when requesting a specific change to an existing page, and feedback when reporting an issue, idea or question needing follow-up.
